Well, hi ya pals! Ok, I know, I know...you thought the podbean site was gone. Well, it is. Sort of. We'll no longer post episodes of Tales From The Mouse House - Disneyland Podcast here, but we will post links to the show you'll be able to find on our new site, http://www.talescast.com . Hi gang!
Well, it's been a year since we started Tales From The Mouse House podcast, and it's been a great one! We've had a lot of fun, a few challenges and a LOT of learning opportunities. We started with this Podbean site, then moved to a more "professional" server to accomodate both our growing bandwidth needs (yeah! good thing!! means you're listening 
), and all of our podcast episodes. So, www.talescast.com was born. On www.talescast.com, you can listen to all of our episodes, and even watch the video episodes as well...RIGHT THERE!
So, where is all this going you ask? Well, GLAD you asked!! This July 8th, 2011 our podbean subscription will expire and we've decided not to renew. It can be quite costly to host a podcast through podbean to the level that we love to offer our listeners. Since we do video podcasts as well, our storage space through podbean fills up quickly! Now, of course podbean offers a larger hosting package...but it's over $1,000 per year! We'd much rather have those funds to buy awesome trivia contest prizes!!
So, beginning July 8, 2011, you will need to visit www.talescast.com for your hub for all things Tales From The Mouse House! It's a much more awesome site anyway. We have photos, media goodies, and more! Thanks for being such great friends of the show, and don't forget, we've changed our "official" name to Tales From The Mouse House - Disneyland Podcast.

Yep, we made it to one full year! In this VERY SPECIAL (and LONG) anniversary special, we review a couple of rides, and a couple of places to get your feed on...BUT, with a twist! We review attractions and eateries from the first year of the Disneyland Resort! We also share three very awesome interviews with you, of three very awesome folks who epitomize the spirit and magic Walt Disney created in Disneyland.

Wow, we the winners of our Episode 15 trivia contests - and in record time! Congratulations James for submitting your correct answer to "where in Disneyland can you find two T-Rexes?" His winning email came in about an hour after we published the episode! Now that's a TRUE listener!! The correct answer was: The diorama in the Disneyland Railroad (Primeval World) and on the Big Thunder Mountain ride (actually the bones of the nasty old T). James graciously donated his prize (the awesome Disneyland Holiday Tin Plates) to our second place winner Wesley because James already has a set of these terrific tins. Also...the impromptu trivia question we asked during the Innoventions attraction review was answered correctly by James AND Amy (actually a tie) so we gave BOTH them digital photos. Hey gang,
Well, things just keep getting interesting for us here at Tales From The Mouse House Podcast! As you may recall, we had some...well, issues with our podcast feed recently. This of course resulted in us having to resubmit our show with a slightly different name (changed it to Tales From The Mouse House Podcast...added podcast) resulting in a new feed. Cool, everything worked just fine. Although the old podcast listing was still in iTunes, it was a "dead end" link. Nothing updated and if you subscribed, you got an error. All of our prior episodes came through to the new feed just fine, all the new shows uploaded are loading up. Of course, the new feed in iTunes doesn't have our podcast image, but what the heck. Great! But...and you knew there would be one! Today, I checked the iTunes store and looked at the old feed and noticed that the old feed had the newest two episodes in it! AND, there's a new review there!! What the?! So I checked and yep, BOTH feeds are valid and BOTH feeds are updating!!! Seems that while I was working furiously to get the new podcast feed created and uploaded, iTunes ACTUALLY fixed the old feed for me!!!! Although they both have unique feed ID numbers, they lead to the same place. And the same website - www.talescast.com. So now we have TWO listings in the iTunes Store with the same podcast.
So, you have a choice. You can either stay subscribed to whichever listing you are currently subscribed to, or (if you're not) subscribe to the one with the podcast image. That's the original and has all of our feedback on it. Hey, at least the show goes on, right?

WELCOME BACK! Well, it's been a long, frustrating and interesting couple of weeks, but we're back on the air! Tales From The Mouse House Podcast is up and running once more. It's a true Christmas Miracle!

Hey Gang,
Ok, it's official. We had to resubmit our podcast feed to iTunes for approval, now we're just waiting on them to get Tales From The Mouse House Podcast in the Store. That's the good news. The bad news is that since all of you who subscribe through iTunes are subscribed to the old feed, you'll need to delete that out of your iTunes library and search for Tales From The Mouse House Podcast (add podcast) and resubscribe. All the old episodes will be there once you do. Oh, and until then, you can visit our NEW website at www.talescast.com. You can listen to all the audio shows and watch all the video shows right there! That's WHY we made this incredibly complicated and mishap laden journey to move to a larger web host! So, Joyce and I should be recording our Christmas episode this week, and posting it on www.talescast.com for you to enjoy! Once iTunes has updated us, we'll let you know.

Hey gang, by now I'm sure you've noticed that Tales From The Mouse House is a little...MIA. Well, we've been having a LOT of issues with our podcast feed. See, we've upgraded our hosting to a larger facility (DreamHost.com) and have a shiny new site (talescast.com) but when I attempted to do the whole code programmer bit and redirect the feed to iTunes, something when kaboom! I am frantically working to correct, however from what I've been running into and hearing, we may be faced with an ultimately unpleasant solution - all Apple support documents recommend deleting the old feed and creating a new podcast feed. However, that means changing the name slightly and all you terrific listeners will be lost - you'll have to resubscribe to the new show. This is not the solution we're hoping for, but it may be the end result. For the time being you can access our show at www.talescast.com. SO, this episode isn't quite the episode you've been expecting...Joyce and I've decided it's time to upgrade our website to a more...official hosting service! WOW! I'm totally impressed!! We already have a winner...of the Hard-Core Contest yet!! Faithful and wise listener Noel from Longmont, Colorado was the first to send in the correct answers to our two-part Hard-Core Trivia Contest. WE HAVE A WINNER!!! In the Episode 9 contest, Joyce and I asked for the locations of the 2 Hidden Mickey's that I revealed in our very first Tales From The Mouse House episode. In my attraction review of Pirates of the Caribbean, I mentioned 2 Hidden Mickey's throughout the ride. Jillian Young of Tempe, AZ was the first to correctly identify the Hidden Mickey in the Cap'n Barbosa battle scene (in the wall of the fortress on your right) and in the drunken pistol fight scene at the end of the ride (on the breast plate of the armor on the left)! Although we had several correct replies, alas there can be only one winner. Thanks Jillian for being a loyal listener of Tales From The Mouse House! Welcome one and all to Episode 8 of Tales From The Mouse House! It's a little late, but, well, the events surrounding this episode were a bit odd! Right off the top, we want to apologize because this episode is not our usual format - we kind of flew here and there because we had so much to tell you about our recent visit to the Disneyland Resort, and the D23 Destination D event! One word: AMAZING.
In Episode 8, Joyce and I discuss the unusual trip and visit to our Happiest Place On Earth, an unexpected visit to a chiropractor; a record breaking heat wave and dragon flies made for a...unique visit! We also give you an overview of the D23 event and some updates on Star Tours 2.0 and the highly anticipated ElecTronica event launching at Disney's California Adventure this month.
So, if this episode seems a little, well, distracted (we both kind of talk about EVERYTHING), that's because we had a LOT to cover. This 35,000 foot overview of our most recent trip gives you the basics, we'll delve deeper into things on subsequent shows.

Welcome to Episode 6 of Tales From The Mouse House! This will always be remembered by Joyce and I as the episode that almost wasn't! We discuss a surprising "yard sculpture" that landed in our side yard that made for an interesting wake up call!
We introduce a new segment on Tales From The Mouse House that we call "Magical Memories". In this new segment, we'll highlight those special moments that exemplifies the Disney Spirit of Magic. Anything that gives that heart warming feeling. I share my first Magical Memory and invite you all to share your Magical Memories with us. We'll even highlight them on our show!

Welcome to episode 5 of Tales From The Mouse House! On this episode, Joyce and I discuss the Arizona monsoon! We finally got some measurable rain, with vengeance! We also talk about our love for Disney Pin Trading and give our definition of "Professional Pin Traders"... (we're not professionals!). We announce (FINALLY) the winner of our first ever Tales From The Mouse House Disneyland Trivia Contest (the answer was...Mrs. Potts and Chip!) and a special guest joining us for our August 15, 2010 show.
Joyce tells us about a new treat cart in the Downtown Disney District where you can get your "crepe on". In Hidden Treasures, I regale everyone with the story of Tarzan's Tree House and Walt's special gift to his wife Lilly that can still be seen in Disneyland today. In Ride Reviews, Joyce covers Monsters, Inc, while I talk about everyone's favorite "stuck-in-your-head-song" ride, It's A Small World.
We also discuss Bengal BBQ and The Coca-Cola Refreshment Cafe in food reviews, and offer up some great tips in our Tips and Tricks segment.

Hey gang, Happy (belated) 4th of July!
We've uploaded some great photos from our recent trip to the Disneyland Resort. My daughter Amanda took time out of her incredibly busy schedule (college and all) to visit us, and let us take her to the Disneyland Resort - for her FIRST EVER VISIT! Well, Joyce and I were joined by my daughter Amanda (visiting from Ohio) on our most recent trip over the July 4th Holiday Weekend! We had a great time, stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time and best of all….watched the new World Of Color Spectacular! This show is AMAZING! In our latest video podcast, we showcase this wonderful new show, although, video doesn’t do it much justice. This is a must see attraction, and we HIGHLY recommend it. Combining the elements of water, fire (LOTS OF IT) with vivid color video and beautiful music, Disney’s World Of Color is without doubt the newest and shiniest Gem in the Disney Show Crown.
